Why Did A Chemical Client Pick Henan Yongxin Technology’s Ceramic Membrane Filtration System Out of 3 Filtration Suppliers?

Three months ago, a fine chemical enterprise contacted us. Their production process required solid-liquid separation of catalyst-laden fine slurry. The material ran steadily at about 90°C throughout the year with an alkaline pH value. Worse still, they had replaced multiple sets of filtration equipment before; each unit either suffered severe membrane fouling or fractured filter cores, and none could operate reliably for more than three months.
The client stated that they had contacted three local filtration equipment manufacturers in Henan, as well as suppliers from other provinces. Some offered low quotations yet could not provide proven successful cases under equivalent working conditions. Others had seemingly decent products, yet lacked professional expertise when discussing the specific properties of their feed slurry.
We took on this challenging assignment.
Our technical team requested the customer to send 5 liters of slurry for direct lab testing on our pilot device. We adopted ceramic membrane tubes produced by Henan Yongxin Technology with a pore size of 50 nm. The continuous test lasted 72 hours, during which we recorded the flux attenuation curve, flux recovery performance after cleaning, and the composition of contaminants accumulated on the membrane surface. The test results revealed that standard ceramic filter cartridges, while meeting separation precision requirements, delivered relatively short cleaning intervals.


The root cause was identified: fine particles in the slurry tend to deposit on the membrane surface and form a filter cake layer. We drew from Ruide Yongxin’s material library and performed hydrophilic modification on the surface layer of ceramic membrane cartridges to reduce the adhesion of contaminants. Meanwhile, we revised the backwashing program of the ceramic membrane filtration system from fixed-time triggering to differential-pressure triggering to cut down ineffective backwashing cycles.

After the equipment arrived at the site, our engineers stayed on-site for one week to monitor the initial operation data. They provided hands-on training for operators on parameter reading and judging the optimal cleaning timing.
Three months later, the client sent feedback that the system had been running stably without a single ceramic membrane tube replacement.
